Degree College
The Degree College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It offers Three-Year integrated Courses in Commerce and Science Streams, leading to B. Com. and B.Sc. degrees awarded by the University of Mumbai.
- Admission to First Year B. Com. and First Year B. Sc. Classes are offered following the declaration of result of HSC examination (Std. XII) by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
- Admissions are granted as per the statutes and directions issued by the University of Mumbai from time to time.
- Candidates who have passed the HSC examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Commerce and Science stream are eligible for admission to F.Y. B. Com. And F.Y. B.Sc. class respectively.
- All admissions are provisional, subject to the approval of the University of Mumbai.
- Students from Thakur Junior College who have acquired eligibility will be given preference and will be admitted first.
- Student of this college who has qualified for admission to higher class will be admitted to such class only if an application in the prescribed form duly completed, has been received with necessary fees within one week from the date of declaration of the result of the qualifying examination.
- Student from other Boards or Universities seeking admission to any of the classes in Degree College will be considered for admission only on production of a Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the Registrar, University of Mumbai. Admission will not be granted without the said certificate under any circumstances. Such students should submit a Migration Certificate, Statement of Marks and Passing Certificate in original within two months from the date of admission failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled.
- Students from other colleges affiliated to the university of Mumbai, who are seeking admission to Second and Third year of B. Com., B. Sc. Classes will be admitted provisionally on production of a ‘No objection Certificate’ from the Principal of the College last attended. Their admissions will be confirmed only on receipt of the Transference Certificate (T.C.) from the previous college. For this purpose, they should submit an application form along with T.C. fees to the college office at the time of admission.
- The college is granted Minority Status under Article 30(1) of the constitution of India. As per the rules applicable to educational institutions granted Minority Status, not more than 50% seats will be allotted to candidates whose mother tongue is Hindi.
Junior College
- The Junior College offers courses in Commerce and Science prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education at the 10+2 level.
- Admission to First Year in Junior College (FYJC - Std XI) is offered following the declaration of result of SSC Examination by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. The admissions are given strictly as per the directions issued by the Department of Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, from time to time.
- The candidates who have passed the SSC Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an examination regarded as equivalent by the State Board are eligible for admission to F.Y.J.C. (Std. XI) Class.
- The students who have passed the equivalent examination as mentioned above will have to produce a provisional eligibility certificate issued by the Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Sion (E), Mumbai – 400 022.
- The eligible candidates have to apply in the prescribed form made available after the declaration of S.S.C. result.
- The schedule of admission as prescribed by the Deputy Director (Education), Dept. of Education, Govt. of Maharashtra will be strictly followed.
- Students passing Std. X from CBSE and ICSE Boards will be considered on par with those who have passed the SSC examination of the State Board.
